Clean. Affordable. Connected. Intelligent.
We as AVL provide leading technologies and superior services to our customers to create a better world by driving mobility trends of tomorrow.
With more than 11,500 employees, AVL List GmbH is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of all types of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology), their integration into the vehicle and is increasingly taking on new tasks in the field of assisted and autonomous driving as well as data intelligence. The company was founded in 1948 with the headquarters in Graz, Austria. It provides industry-leading technologies and services based on the highest quality and innovation standards to help customers reduce complexity and add value.
AVL develops a test program to support virtual verification and validation and can be used for homologation. This development includes the extension of existing test automation methods as well as the adaption of the existing tool chain using co-simulation and the residual risk assessment methods developed within ArchitectECA2030. Furthermore, AVL supports the global alignment and collaboration with certification and standardization bodies in close partnership with representative stakeholders from automotive industry, government and academia. AVL also leads the application and proof-of-concept development as well as the SOTIF- ISO/PAS 21448 contribution on methods and metrics and the global alignment.
AVL develops an advanced verification and validation test program. This test program includes a virtual environment for testing co-simulated vehicles in different use cases. Together with the residual risk management methods a statement about the reliability of the vehicle under test can be made. Furthermore, AVL will contribute to tools for test generation and fault detection as well as to monitoring algorithms for the powertrain to detect faults as early as possible. The early detection of faults enables, for example, optimized maintenance planning.
